I've been asked occasionally to mod the old Triple Bipolar VCA for crossfade since originally posting about it in 2012 on the Modwiggler forum. It's an easy mod, 6 resistors. And below are the three board revisions, their resistor locations, and the details to do the mod.

Crossfade Modification Details:

There are 6x 0603 resistors that need to be changed. In all revisions below, the blue-circled resistors are the ones to remove and replace.

Original resistor value is 4.7MΩ for fade-through-zero.

The crossfade mod requires these be 27kΩ resistors.

The resistors need to be carefully removed (hot air or hot tweezers are preferable). Be careful to not pull, just lift them off. Breaking the pads/traces is unpleasant to repair.

Perform this mod at your own risk, no warranty is offered by WMD for this (or any other) mod.

Skorpion's Block Diagram, and a rant about Potentiometers.

TLDR: Pots - Song-Huei is going out of business!  First, real quick, my rant about pots!  I just found out that my potentiometer manufacturer — the one making my slider pots and the knobless “trimmer” pots — is going out...
